It is a 1937 Studebaker (not sure if it's a Dictator), but it's not Ken Maynard (who rode with the Ringling Bros circus, from what i read). You're very close, though.

#3 is a 1960 Oldsmobile, but I have no idea who owned it.

Maybe that dosen't matter. Ask yourself in what movie it could be seen.

It sure is, and you'd have found it earlier if I hadn't put the image in B&W.

Only one left. It's not Ken Maynard. So, who is it?

I found a Chrysler Imperial full optionals, long horns,  little horses on the hood and fenders, cow-leather interiors etc etc but it's not one of these!  :yuck:

Clue Time:
Find the name of the circus (which should be rather easy if you check all my former posts) and it will lead you to the name of that last movie cowboy.

If I were to tally the points now, we'd have:
Joao: 5 pts
Otto Puzzell: 3 pts
Guido 66: 1 pt

Unfortunately there's still a longhorn car missing, despite the clues given, and they'll all have to wait.
 ;D

How about putting this one to rest?

Clyde Beatty and Hoot Gibson standing in front of a 1937 Studebaker.

The circus is the Robbins Brothers circus.

It seems I've got too much free time on my hands lately :) But this will radically change next Wednesday.

Let's put this one to rest for good.

If there still was any doubt about Tom Mix's car being a Don Lee Cadillac, here is a (smallish) picture of a 1920 Cadillac by Don Lee for starlet Ann May. Unlike the Mix car, it has disc wheels and and a side spare wheel, but in the exact style of another Don Lee car given by Joao as an example. But the fenders are the same, and it even seems to have the same small lantern between the front and rear doors.
