All correct, but you'll need to dig deeper for a point.

Ok,
The Oldsmobile Toronado was the first american fullsize car (after 30ies Cord) which had front wheel drive.
Oldsmobile did development of FWD since 1958. The engine and transmission is located side by side.
The car shared some body and platform parts with other GM cars (Buick Riviera).
Later, the Cadillac Eldorado got the same FWD transmission as the Toronado.
If there is a story about the particular car pictured here, I'm sorry I don't know of that

I came across that mr. Jay Leno has a cusom built -66 Toronado. Converted to rear wheel drive. Could this be Leno's car?

Sunroofs on '66 Toronados were pretty unusual. Don't know if this is the first.

No, Jay was a teenager when this car was configured as pictured.

This, sir, is the 1966 Fitch Phantom Toronado, modified by the one and only John Fitch.  He, like with his modified Corvairs, souped up the cars a bit, with handling, braking, engine, and appearance modifications.  There were only two of these built, and one still exists.
