Why does it have so long wheelbase?

Built only for racing?

To be honest I don't know as much about this car as I would like to...
However I belive it is a pure racing car or at least built primarily for racing.
As for the long wheelbase, I can't say I'd noticed that especially. I think it might just look like it has one due to the angle of the picture and the fact its a low built car.

Maybe asking the obvious, but - Italiano?
It's not denial, I'm just very selective about the reality I accept.

An RML built by Ray Mallock Racing?

Not Australian and to be honest I'm not sure of the engine type. I'm not sure if this car was built mainly for hillclimbs or circuit racing but I believe earlier cars from the same make were built primarily for hillclimbing.

This is the JRM Sports Racing from New Zealand.
Built in 1967 by John Minel it is a 'one-off'

Since 250GTO is not active anymore I try to moderate this..

I guess there's only a small typo in your reply. Would be nice if we could finally move this to the solveds.

Locked of course!
