I believe there used to be a different engine in the first one.

Very good to see the Deltayn puzzle getting a revival.  Although the car usually used a Jaguar V12 engine, one was built  with a 3.5-litre Rover V8 unit as well.

The car should be regarded as British, not French, as it was a UK project, with the first cars being built there, before production moved over to Magny Cours with tax-benefit funding from the French Government.

The Pegasus was based on the design of the rejected Aston Martin V8-replacement by Richard Oakes.  Foolishly Aston Martin chose the less appealing (in my view) Heffernan and Greenley design bid that became the Virage model, rather than the Oakes design you see here.

And finally, today's useless fact; I wrote the text for the sales brochure of the Pegasusr (fame at last!).
A car is for life, not just for Christmas.

hi all,
quite an interesting read,
reading this thread i thought I'd give a bit of info,
my father was the MD of the company 88-93 i think,
he was part of a small team, consisting of Chris(dad), frank, Greg ,john parradine being the top,
there may have been others ill find out,
we left for France on the 16/17Th of June i think in 1990 ,with a man(guide?) named Toni i think,(unsure) in a french plate fiesta my 1st inclination of different things to come, steering wheel on the wrong side
we were all family's apart from Greg,
Chris fanthorpe ,family returned in 95,due to a berevement and and the ill health of my father returned to scunthorpe still here,,
franks spedding, family returned in 93 i believe after the closure they are also around the scunthorpe area still too,
Greg ..., i have not seen since sometime in 95, location unsure,
the company was based at appelby, flixborough rings a bell , maybe home to a worker??,
then at chevenon when we relocated to France
the company survived until 93 i think, i was about 12 by then so forgive my errors if any,
was never based at the mangy cours circuit, lieger was though , lol different breed of car there!!
it was close to the circuit less than 10 km t think,
specs ,
when i get round to it i have somewhere the full spec i will post ,
from memory, 5.3 ltr jag v12 , modified  , fueling by 6 doec Weber's, the tested 167mph (fast car?)was achieved in a car with a bent conrod or gear rod, ill ask my father for clarification, but would of achieved 175mph comfortably,
it was a well built well designed car
the compand failed when funding was pulled , oil an ingredient the gulf war was too, the french government
and perhaps johns slight lavish lifestyle spent a little of investors money, and contributed a bit too, ;D
john continued with other things upon his return to the UK, a jet ski i believe in the late 90's, and the in 2000-2002 he went on to build the parrasine 525, my father and brother worked for the company for a while ,i saw the car in many stages and this also was a great design, although this company failed also due to reasons unknown to me at this time, but the car was received well in the 2002 nec? show,
pm me if any further info required ,
