Strange indeed! The front and rear end have something Peugeot-ish to them, but the middle is very Mercedes. Hmm!

Well that was easy, of course for our experts here. But it is the most disproportioned MB Iīve ever seen.

As my books tell me this is just the "Kleinwagen", built with a 190īs cabin.

For 1 point what's this car, from when and why was it built?

Google Image Search continues to raise its ugly head on AutoPuzzles.
For the sake of our newer members who may not be aware of past discussions on it, Google Image Search as a means of solving puzzles is banned on this website.

AutoPuzzles is primarily a game of automotive knowledge, not of who can copy and paste the quickest.

We ask all members to remember and respect this, and retain the right to ask puzzle-solvers how they came to their answer.

Have fun!

Mercedes test mule circa 1980 it was a,depending on who you believe, a prototype for a FWD small car or,more probable, a mule for a cancelled rally car project.

I remember this published in "AutoZeitung" in the early 80s. Meant to be a sensation it only remained a Ente* as it was proclaimed as a future Mercedes 'Kleinwagen'.

It was picked up on by the UK magazine Car who also speculated it might be a new FWD Mercedes hatchback!  The must have been what MB wanted people to think!
