The "Mops" was a a three-wheeler built by Schmidt & Bensdorf (according to my source from Mannheim) in 1924-25.
Equipped with a 350cc engine it had a manual 3-speed gearbox without reverse. The self-supporting body had two seats in the front while the back was for the chain-driven powerplant.
lenght: 3,00 m
trackwidth: 1,1 m
wheelbase: 2,3 m
weight: 135 kg

In view of the compromised stability of the three-wheeler, are you sure it wasn't the "Rollmops"? ;D

Yes, this is the only known picture of the Mops. I took this picture at the Carl Benz Automuseum in Ladenburg, where it says this was made by Badenia, which was set up by ex-Benz workers.

Different sources report different things about the Mops though

Only known picture? Wow.

I don't suppose anyone has this pic without the glass reflections or whatever they are?

The Mops was built by Badenia in Ladenburg for Schmidt & Bensdorf in Mannheim. It was built right at the premises of the Carl Benz Automuseum which originally was the Benz Söhne factory. Later on it housed the Badenia factory and after WWII the Nordap truck factory (http://www.autopuzzles.com/forum/index.php?topic=20370.0).

In a recent article of a German magazine you can see another photo showing three Mops cars at a time.

I had to look that one up.  I just about lost my dinner of chicken and rice.  (I'm not crazy about fish.)  But the trail took me to "The Battle of Herrings", "Laager" (or wagon forts) and Joan d'Arc.  Pretty interesting reading, all in all.
