I found DKW in "Autolexikon-Thyssen"and I don't speak German !

Cool - can one of our German speakers confirm this is another car built by students of the Karosseriebaufachschule Kaiserslautern (called a slightly different name there but I assume the same place?)

#7 is from the Karosseriebaufachschule Kaiserslautern as well. If it's Borgward powered I don't know, but I guess it's more likely (VW?) rear engined.

Excellent photos.

As mentioned in my PM this seems to confirm that #5 is also the work of the Karosseriebaufachschule Kaiserslautern as well. I agree #7 looks to be VW based. I think a shot of the interior would probably confirm this!

#4 - Allard built for the lawyer of Christine Keeler.
If I remember my source didn't mention the coachbuilder but I'll continue my search.

#6 - I would guess this is based on a Jowett Jupiter but no idea on the coachbuilder yet.

The proportions and general look suggested Allard to me, thanks for confirming it

I believe this is a Jupiter yes, possibly Dutch coachwork going by the reg plate.

Regarding #4, this Allard was designed by Michael Eddowes, the lawyer involved in the Profumo Affair where he represented Christine Keeler. He also wrote several books including The Man on your Conscience, about the trial of Timothy Evans and John Christie and The Oswald File about the Kennedy assassination.

The coachbuilder of this car is unknown but may have been by a firm such as Fox & Nicholl who were responsible for some early Healeys, the aerodynamic HRG and a prototype Frazer Nash 420 open two-seater.
I haven't been able to find anything more positive at the moment.

I have this car as having been built by Rene Dhoedt of Paris around 1949/51, although must say it looks a little later than that to me..

Suposed to have been made in the AK Miller garage by Gussenbauer (Walter?) in Long Beach, CA for the 1954 La Carrera Pan American. Then went to The Philippines to race, then back to the US. Joe Alphabet in CA then owned the car for a while.

# 8: Delettrez Diesel and body by René Dhoedt/Paris are correct.
Picture was taken at the Enghien concours d'elegance 1956 and shows Colette Duval (parachutiste, stock-car-driver) and Gil Delamare (Cascadeur).

If #2 is indeed what it is said to be on Wiki, the builder may well be Francesco Cifala himself. In 1957 he drove at Giro di Sicilia at the wheel of Fiat etceterini, which, I suppose, was also own built.

Well, I can now confirm for certain the the 'Jowett' is indeed a Jowett Jupiter and even have a name for the coachbuilders.

I might have the link between "Joy mobile" (mentioned somewhere in this puzzle) and Delettrez. Possibly this car?

A Dutch company called Washmobile Holland (from Hilversum) supposedly presented on the car show of Paris in 1954 a car that was developped by L. Workum of Washmobile and the brothers Delettrez. The car used a Delettrez diesel engine but the drive was through what I understand to be a kind of hydrostatic drive. Apparently both Delettrez and Washmobile did not have the means to develop this car into series production.
