In summer 2010 I received an email as follows from Wayne Graefen regarding this car, along with a photo of it:

I am a member, "StillOutThere", of Autopuzzles and wonder if this car has ever appeared anywhere on the site. It is a car I found in a back yard in southern California. Fifteen years later I made contact with a man in Oregon who ended up owning the car.
I carries the name "Gisler" on a badge. The car has a Kaiser chassis which is probably Henry J. The engine is the 226 Kaiser SuperSonic. The body is all-aluminium over mostly wooden framing. It appears to be "almost professionally built" or is somewhat deteriorated.
There is no other history known of the car. The Kaiser-Fraser Club does not know of any factory prototypes for a sports car like this.
Photos of the car do appear at Geoffery Hacker's "Forgotten Fiberglass" web site but this is NOT a fiberglass car.
Any ideas?

I replied saying that I had considered posting the car as I knew it from Hemmings auto blog but I hadn't as I didn't think enough information was known about it. I suggested no-one would know more than Geoff Hacker anyway and I certainly don't know much that Geoff doesn't know!
Wayne replied to my reply:

I can appreciate that the car cannot be puzzled because to date the puzzle does not have an answer.
However if some post could be created that would help the march toward that end, some day soon, someone is going to stumble onto one of the web sites showing the car under the name "Gisler" and reveal that answer.
I think what I'm hoping for is to cast that wider net in hopes of catching that fish.
Since I am an incidental part of the story, I would just like to see that happen.
