The cowboy multi-puzzles are back!

Ten cars adorned with six-shooters and such. Only two of them do not belong to a range rider.
Except for two or three, the cars are supposed to have been their property in "real life". Although one can doubt they'd use it to go down to the supermarket.

Each picture is worth one point, but you have to identify the car (year and make at least) and its owner. Don't name only one, as anybody who will complete the pair can rob you of your point!

Is number 7 Liberachie and a 1970 Caddi Eldorado (apologies for spelling) also number 4 looks like the same car !

OK ... don't know histories or significances, etc., but a few sorta guesses:

#2 ... obviously, a Pontiac Bonneville ... since it says so on the fender

. I believe it is a mid-1960s model.

#3 ... styling cues scream Chevy to me, but not sure if it is the Bel Air or Impala ... or maybe Biscayne? I'd venture to guess it is an early 1960s model, though.

#4 ... I keep going back'n'forth between Pontiac and Oldsmobile, but given what I can see of the wheels, I'm leaning towards Pontiac. Believe it to be a 1970s (1975ish?) Pontiac Granville....

You're right about the two Pontiacs, wrong about the Chevy. But the point is mostly to find who they belonged to.

I said two of them weren't cowboys: Nudie Cohn is one of them, of course.

Number 1 - 1947 Chrysler Town & COUNTRY Convertible.This example was specially constructed for actor Leo Carrillo, better know as Poncho from The Cicso Kid television show. Custom touches included a hood-mounted steer head with eyes that light, extended bumper guards, specially mixed paint to match the color of Carrillo's palomino pony, and hand painted 'LC' monograms on the doors and wheel covers. Carrillo drove this car frequently in parades and to publicity events. A second hood without a steer head was also supplied with the car.

# 2 is Roy Rogers' 1966 Pontiac Bonneville, at the The Roy Rogers-Dale Evans Museum & Happy Trails Theater in Branson, MO. This Bonneville was customized by “Nudie” Cohen, the Rodeo Tailor to the stars of the 1950’s & 1960’s. He did all the leather work, as well as adding the guns and all the extras. He performed this labor of love on 18 different automobiles in his career. Roy Rogers has owned this vehicle from 1964 until he died in 1998.

I like it when you furnish the story of the car too. Webb Pierce's car was also a gift from Nudie Cohn, who decidedly had a thing with Pontiacs.

Here we see the popular film-star with the westernized
V16 he used in the movie, The Carpetbaggers.The car
spent many years in a museum before being purchased and
restored ...on two successive occasions (currently it is red)

William Boyd
1950 Cadillac Series 62 convertible

This car is featured in the CLC's Self Starter magazine for February 2001. The car was apparently sent back to Detroit, to the Cadillac Styling Studio, where they restyled it especially for the singing cowboy movie star. It was outfitted with a unique horse and rider hood ornament, had Hopalong script affixed to the doors and extra chrome rib strips down the trunk lid; the interior was redone in a horse hide motif; it had also a second windshield behind the front seat.

Number 8 is Tom Mix for sure. Very well done because I hid his hat, which is the most recognizable item he wore. My source gives a different make for the car, but it's a very unreliable source when it comes to cars: it calls it a 1921 Cord, which is an impossibility.
So, another point for you if you come up with a more serious identification for the car (some kind of evidence required). Locked for you one week from now.

Tom Mix had some Cadillacs.
The picture of him in a car,shows the Don Lee´s badge under the door.I posted another Cadillac by Don Lee for you compare the badges.Don Lee only bodied Cadillacs and some Pierce-Arrows.It´s not a Pierce-Arrow because of the inconfundible front lamps incorporated with the mudguards.
And finally a Cadillac by Don Lee with the same style.

You're probably right about Don Lee and Cadillacs. Mix was also a close friend of Harley Earl whose career began at Don Lee's. It's probably a Cadillac (the fenders look much like the cars you show and the green one has some common features). But the second point will be earned if you identify this precise car.

I thought that #3 was one of the easiest ones... I guess it would have beeen found some times ago if I had attachec the color version of the picture (and the car).

#9 cowboy was at he end of his film career when this picture was taken. But he had once been the equal to Tom Mix. Oh, and the circus here, in which he performed was a ........... Bros circus (but not the Ringling).
