This is actually a hot rod more than a specific car.  Built in the early 1940's by Richard Saunders of Rensselaer, NY, it used as its base a combination of a Marmon 16 sedan for the chassis, grille and motor and an Auburn Speedster for much of the body. The car underwent a LOT of changes over its life span, including being later moved to a Packard chassis (still with Marmon V-16 power), and even later receiving a modified Packard V-12 . . . which was later supercharged.

Quite an ambitious project, utilizing much more than the average Ford Deuce hot rod components. I believe the car still exists, although this originally East-coast car may now be on the West coast. And again, the year is a little harder to pin down more exactly as the car was built (and subsequently modified) over a period of many years. Early to mid-1940's is my best estimate for when it was originally created.
