Obviously postwar German. Usually chassis from DKW, Volkswagen or BMW were used, but it looks too heavy for a DKW, not rear-engined enough for a VW, too big for a BMW Dixi and not sporty enough for a big BMW. Wild guess: based on a Mercedes-Benz.

The numberplate says "Britische Zone Rheinland" ~ "Rhineland, British occupation zone"

I read that Hans Wickenbrock(h?) jun. made this car for his craftman's examination.

It is Hans Wickenbrock. There still is a "Wickenbrock Karosseriebau GmbH" in Recklinghausen.
BTW, Wickenbrock was involved in the development of the body for the Pinguin microcar:

The word you couldn't decipher is "Sportaufbau" meaning "sports body".
