Tekniikan Maailma, a Finnish motoring magazine, set a competition about car designing in 1950's. The winner of the contest was car sheet worker Oiva Helminen from Riihimäki. He built a body by using of chassis and other components of a Rover from 1950 that had crashed with a train. Helminen tried to make a modern-looking, low nose to the car and therefore he used the flattest carburettor he could find. The car was powered by a four-cylinder Hudson engine. The chrom coated decorations are probably from some American car from 1950's. Especially the bonnet and removable hard top demonstrate the professional skills of Helminen. He didn't use any drawings in his project. The car was finished in 1960 and it served in every day use for over twenty years. Classic Motor Show in Lahti, Finland.
