It's the Aeronaut by Alexander Sarantos Tremulis, c. 1940.

At first I thought it had to do with his 1940 Chrysler Thunderbolt design, but after more research, I'm leaning strongly towards a 1940 American Bantam proposal.  I think this has stronger ties to Ben Harris' Bluebird-inspired, Bantam-based streamliner than previously thought.  Tremulis' rear-engined TerraCobra, his Bantam Hollywood and Riviera designs, and this Aeronaut seem to share the same wheelbase and similar illustration techniques...

So, if I were to sum it up: Aeronaut - A Bantam-based, Bluebird-inspired, Ben Harris-influenced, Thunderbolt-incorporated Tremulis streamliner.   :faint:

Alex Tremulis' Bantam-based TerraCobra
