Finally!!

Masao Watanabe, founder of DuoPower, creator of the DuoPower Afghan. This is the Watanabe Lycaon, a one-off that made its debut at the Second Annual Tokyo Racing Car Show in 1970.

The other car (which was quite a lot easier to find) is the Nissan Fairlady-based Basilic Roadster. Only three were built.

I think I may have found that site as well as well - a dedicated Googler might solve any number of puzzles by exploring there. Alas, I haven't the time for the next couple of days.
