This car was built for Baron Theodor von Liebieg within five weeks. It was constructed by Hans Ledwinka who used a ladder frame for the first time so that the seats could be positioned very low. The race car had a two-cylinder Benz engine. It finished second at the 1900 Salzburg-Linz-Wien race (compare second attached photo) driven by Liebieg and his mechanic Fritz Haban. In 1901 Liebieg married and went on honeymoon by driving a Nesselsdorfer 10 PS, but the race car was modified as an luggage carrier and accompanied the newly wed couple driven by Haban.
