Make, model and approximate year please.
Also who is in the driving seat?
One point for the correct and complete answer.

Oswald

I think this is the 1966 Fairley Spoke, based on a Mini Moke.
I do not know who drives it, though.

It is!
Think of a well-known commentator of the day and you will find the solution  ;)

deleted as this was locked for Oswald – sorry, shamrock!

Oswald

Hmmm. The car was built and driven by Reg Phillips, but I doubt if that's him behind the steering wheel.

Not Reg Phillips but the driver's first name also started with an R
Still locked for you.....

Oswald

I can only guess as I have no clue.
Rick Branson?
Do unlock it when I'm wrong.

One last try - he has the same initials 'R.B.'
Locked for you until your next reply only.

I'm giving Oswald a point for identifying the car and open it up again for the identification of the driver, the hillclimb and the year for another point.

Raymond Baxter is correct but not at Harewood 1966.
Venue is much more famous and the date is later......

Fairley Poke sounds like a Joke!

I'm pretty sure that the name is Fairley Spoke.
Mini expert Oswald may be able to confirm it positively for you.

Allan L

It doesn't look much like Shelsley to me as I can't remember any point where there's another road visible in the middle distance.
In "Tales of My Time" Baxter tells us that he was more or less given the Fairley Spoke by Reg Phillips and that he and his son, Graham, "got second and third in class at Prescott several times and once first and second" so it might be there, although again it's not quite right-looking.
Opinionated but sometimes wrong

barrett

I've only ever seen it described as the Fairley Spoke and I'm pretty certain that is correct.
No idea about the venue of this photo, but here's another (bad) one apparently at Shelsley

woodinsight

I took the information from a caption to the photo contained in an article on Raymond Baxter.
It may have been wrong of course.

Oswald

Yes, I, too, believe it is Fairley Spoke.
What I do know for sure is that the car survives.
