Deserter GS/GT. This particular Deserter..is owned by Mike Ragonese & is powered by a 2332cc turbo dual port engine. The Deserter GS/GT is a mid engine dune buggy..that usually uses a cable operated shift system..but not always..one of these cars competed in the Black Otter hill climb races..here in Montana. Your puzzle car was built in 1971..with a rebuild in 2006..serial # 710320

Alex Dearborn of..Dearborn Automobile Co. did the rebuild in 2006. Autodynamics{Marblehead Massachusetts} is the original manufacture of this mid engine dune buggy. Your particular Deserter GS/GT is a very nice example to use as a puzzle car..however the yellow one..that participated in the Black Otter Hill climb events..has a racing pedigree..that dwarfs your particular puzzle car, but as I said yours is a nice example as well.

Thank you, 1971 manufactured not 1981.

I've corrected my typo error - thanks for pointing it out (no extra points though!)
