The Toronado is a FF? Front-engine and front wheel drive?

While that's true, it is not the disconnection I'm looking for.

The Chrysler was made by the only brand still extant?  Studebaker, Oldsmobile, and Crosley are no longer automakers...

 ;D

The Chrysler is a 4-door sedan, the Avanti, the Crosley and Toronado have coupe body.

The list is probably endless..

How about this one?
The Chrysler, Studebaker and Crosley all use the surname of their founder/s in full - the odd one out is the Oldsmobile, which doesn't (Olds+mobile!)

All interesting points, but not the answer that pays the point.

The nature of the difference (not visible in these pictures) is mechanical, and not one of nomenclature.

Not that. The bodies (though painted) can be seen.

Front suspension?  The Toronado used torsion bars and I believe the others used double A-Arms...

The Chrysler is the odd one out, because it doesn't have disc brakes.

Maybe I should re-name this one "Never Ending Chain #3"  :D

Not the answer I'm after.

Not sure if that's correct, but not the answer I'm after.

Wendax' most recent reply, while incorrect, honed closest to the correct solution.

The Studebaker Avanti is the odd one out, because it has disc brakes?
The Crosley got them with the 1949 model, and the Toronado as an option with the 1967 model.

Argh!

I meant to include a pic of the '49 Crosley (fixed now), but you've cracked it.

The '49 Crosley, the '49 Crown Imperial, and the '63 Avanti all had disc brakes (though the Chrysler discs were of an unusual, fully-enclosed variety). The Toronado didn't offer discs until its second year of production. The 1966 model pictured had big ol' drum at all four corners. Holy smoking brake linings!
