She is the American actress Jeanne Crain, relaxing in the tub in the 1946 film Margie.

I dare say she co-starred with cars in some of her films, but here she is in a commercial for the 1957 DeSoto.

Wow - that went quick! The point is yours.

If you'd like to go double-or-nothing, how's about you find another actress, same house, different car?

Locked for Tom_I, unless he takes a pass.

I'll have to throw in the towel on this one.

I wondered if it was Jeanne Crain's house in Beverly Hills in the ad, and there's a scene in The Star (1952) where an inebriated Bette Davis takes a drive in a Mercury Eight, and points out the house, but I've looked at a clip of it, and it's not the same house.

So I'm stumped at the moment. I'll keep looking, but please open it up so that others can have a go.

How about Hattie McDaniel? The house would be the one in Margie, she played a part in The Big Wheel (there must be a picture in a group puzzle or another, but since there are more than a hundred cars in this racing movie, I don't think it's the one).

Quite right - I was fooled by Ms. Davis.

Tom drew first, but I knew this picture, because one in the same serie made a famous Life Magazine cover.
The "house" here is only a studio set, so I supposed that "same house" meant same film.

I honestly don't know. I was going for the Bette Davis answer, above, but it was clearly incorrect.

All right. Let's forget it. If this is to find a picture of Hattie, Lynn Bari, Ann Todd (any other actress who played in this movie) with a car, this is possible but not very interesting.
