In Ray B.'s now-legendary "My Car is So Light" thread, the idea was to find pictures of females lifting cars. This puzzle has a similar theme, and is perhaps a bit easier to score point in. Here's how it works:
What you puzzlers have to do is:
1- Identify this motorized vehicle, with which the driver appears to attempting to ascend a vertical wall. I'll award one point for the ID.
2- Find as many pictures as possible of automobiles, motorcycles, trucks or ATV's doing the same. No points for vehicles without operators. No points for vehicles affixed to walls for promotional, advertising, or stunt purposes. Photo-shopped pictures will be judged individually for their merits, and the decision of the judge (me) is final.
3- The wall (or other vertical surface) has to be at least as tall as the vehicle, as seen in the vehicle's vertical scaling attempt.
Enjoy!

Guess this is not exactly what you are looking for...?

Wow - I din't think I'd have to add more qualifiers already. ;)
OK - I'll admit that one (if you post a pic herein), but from now on, the wall has to be at least as tall as the vehicle, as seen in the latter's vertical scaling attempt.
-
Does this one qualify?
-
I think you know the answer, but I'll help you out:
- Did the car drive there, or fly there?
- Is that a vertical ascent?
- Did the driver intend this ascent, or was this ascent incidental to another motoring event?

Yeah...I did know the answer. ;)
-
I presume this one, too, doesn't qualify:

That seems to be driving across, not up. :)
-
Vertical enough for a point?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JctzAeMgylc
-
I the strictest sense, no. Vertical is the direction aligned with the force of gravity.
If I were playing fast and loose with the rules, I might accept as "close enough" an angle of more than 67.5 degrees above horizontal (or more than halfway between 45 degrees and perfectly vertical).
So, no, 37.5 degrees doesn't cut it.

I wasnt sure I could post a Youtube link, so I didnt before.
But this one fits, I think.

And this one may not ( maybe not enough angle ), but pretty amazing to watch..

That's pretty darned vertical!
-

I'd like to allow that one, but in fairness to Allan, the vertical part seems to to be traversed laterally. So, if the lion in the car (very cool picture) doesn't get a point, I can't give you one for this video, either.
But you are still leading the field! ;D
-
;D
-
I can see this is going to be a fun ride. ;D
-
Not enough angle at all but fun to watch

Interesting pic; no points. :)

You were too quick, and here´s another two:

HAHAHA! ;D Loved it! Long time no see!
-
Well, I think all of the three Dudu-movies were quite crappy so you wouldn´t see them for years.
But I´d really love to see them again, too....
-
There had been five movies as far as I know...
Was just kidding.. Have seen one of those sequels on TV some time ago. It was a rainy Sunday afternoon and I zapped to K1 or RTL2. I managed to watch it for only 10-15 minutes... :hyper:
(Das Lexikon des Internationalen Films bezeichnet den Film als "ein Klamauk, der nur sehr bescheidenen Unterhaltungsansprüchen genügt." ;D)
-
Yes I´ve just remembered those films, because one of the main actors, Mr.Walter Roderer became 90 years old this week.
BTW:
Here are some other wall climbers:

No points there (the first is a re-post) ;)

That's worth a point! Maybe two, since there are two walls ;D

I like that one, too. Now we're getting somewhere!

I know they don't drive in the (up)right direction, but this 1933(!) film is nice enough to be shown:

Look mum, no wall at all! ;D

The Unimog is a repost, metalshapes already found it.
BTW is the vehicle an Italian Guzzi?
EDIT: it is indeed a Guzzi Mulo Meccanico.

I'll rule "close enough" in the three videos (two bad links), minus the repost (that's the second time that kid flipped me the bird!) so, two points there. Are the other pics screen shots from the non-working videos?

That's it!

Yes.
The link is working, but you have to copy it and paste it..I don't know why it gets broken after the '#'.
Which one are the good ones?
-
Due to the rules (3) all of the walls are hardly high enough... :-\
-
They are all highier that the vehicles in their standard position...but it is his call. :)

You're both right, of course. Since Paul is a stand-up guy, he retains one of the awarded points.

I love Grob's picture on top of this page. Where does it come from?
Here are my first two propositions (I doubt if i can find more!)
I'll let you find the numerous reason why they can't rightly qualify.

This one went vertical ( and beyond...)

Wow - amazing pictures. I'd love to know the stories behind them.

Cool back-flip; no vertical wall.
-
I love Grob's picture on top of this page. Where does it come from?
It´s been made at Chicago´s Riverview Park.
-
Already a (fake) classic:

-
Is it? Who really knows...
That's point-worthy.
-
Alas, it's a disproved myth. It was part of a so called "Fake Check" on German TV.
You can see a slight change in the film from 0:11. That's when it started to be computerized.
-
Look - you're keeping your point, and that's that!
-
;D

Wow - amazing pictures. I'd love to know the stories behind them.
The first one in from the 1930 film 'The Big Trail': lowering the wagons (into Jackson Hole I believe). There is a similar scene in a more modern film I think.
The other was taken in Paris in 1895. A locomotive couldn't stop in time tore a gig hole in the Montparnasse Station's wall, and fell down from the upper level into the street.
Covered wagons or locomotives, going down the wall and not up, bring no point I guess.

I've found this picture, Nissan Qashqai ad campaign, Some american show and some girl with a lion

Some Girl and a lion
-
All three are driving across a wall, versus up. And one of those pics has been seen here before.
-
how about this one?
-
That looks like appx 45 degrees
-
These ones rise no more than 45 degrees too, but up against thin air, which seems a more difficult feat to me.
-
;D

You only said "motorized vehicles", didn't you? ;D

Welcome to the Expert ranks! ;D

What about this! Two pictures from the same event. 1928, Washington D.C.
See the big pictures on Shorpy.
-
Let's say, 1 point for the fist pic (darned near vertical) and 0 points for the second (not nearly vertical).
With that, the points on this one are through. Not as fun as the "light car" thread that inspired it, but, c'est la vie. ^-^
Everyone's free to add more pics, if the mood strikes them.
-
Maybe those will fit?
-
This device will climb even trees. :D
OK, it is not a car, not a bike, but it´s got wheels and an engine and you need a man to operate it, too.
-
Wow!

Closed? Any room left for this one?
