Is the top picture in Hollywood and the bottom picture is a Graham Hollywood?

That's not the connection, and that's not a Graham Hollywood

Connection Amos Northup ?

He was chief designer for Willys-Overland ,the lower pic is of a '40 / '41 Willys & the upper pic is his
personal customised early Ford ('30 / '31 model A ?)

From the web ;

"Northup was responsible for starting the aerodynamic school of thinking in automotive design in the late 1920's and early 1930's. His designs include the 1932 Graham Blue Streak, the 1931 Reo Royale, the 1933 Willys 77 and later Willys designs of the 1930's and his most famous, the 1937 Graham Spirit of Motion, better known as the Sharknose"

Nice try, but that's not what I'm looking for. You're right about the ID of both cars though.

I will point out that the connection involves that specific custom Model A in the photograph, and the Willys cars in general

Model A wears a funky split windscreen designed by George Du Vall while he worked for Socal plating co.
(first fitted to their gorgeous custom '35 phaeton / delivery ,long-lost it seems)
Du Vall also designed an aluminium ohv cylinder head for Willys 4 cylinder flathead engines.

Du Vall the connection  :) ?

That is exactly the answer I was looking for, well done! I thought this one would be much harder but you obviously know your onions! A well deserved point for you.
