Post by: barrett on October 28, 2011, 02:44:52 PM
A bit of a mystery this one. What marque was behind this car, for a point. Any further details would be welcomed and possibly deserving of another point....

 :o

I'm shocked! I thought this would last much, much longer.... I've not been able to find out any more information about this car except from the website were I took the images from. How did you manage to find it, if you don't mind my asking?

Anyone able to provide anything else on this one? A period shot would be nice!

You'll find several other Marsonettos have already been posted and solved on AP.

Mario Marsonetto was based in Lyon and was active 1957-1959 and 1965-1972.
I believe total production was 16 or more cars.

I don't know the model name of the puzzle car but I suggest you alter the marque to "Marsonetto" rather than "La Marsonetto" (the Marsonetto). It may make it easier for future searches.

Marsonetto indeed use available parts on the market: Renault 16, pan hard 24 etc. Elegant hand of design.

I'm familiar with the other Marsonetto cars but I have never come across this one before and can't find any information about it anywhere beyond one website. That website does clearly call the call "La Marsonetto" but as I have no idea I'll change it back to just 'Marsonetto'.
This pictures I have are just the small ones that I have resized, so they are not that great, but here are the other views:

Looks like the rear window drops out at the first bump, but the design is really pretty.

Additional information sources indicate this may be called the 1982 Marsonetto DM5, or the 1970 Marsonetto GT 2+2.  Here is the information plaque from the museum where this car is parked:
