OK Ray, but as I was never much interested in non-UK specials and their builders, and then only pre-1960ish for the UK ones, I probably ignored those puzzles and so didn't notice a pattern.
I still can't see him as "an important figure in the automotive world" whereas some special-builders like Chapman and Broadley really were. I'll give up - after all this is a US-based club we are in!

Well, "chacun voit midi à sa porte!" and you're perfectly entitled to do so, Allan. We're a free country too. And my contribution to the debate about who is or is not "an important figure, etc" was purely whimsical.
