Solved - NEH 975: 1951 Hillman-based Special - name wanted!
« on: March 03, 2011, 06:27:40 AM »
Tell me what this is and earn 1 point;
If it has a name (and I don't know it) and you know it that's worth another point;
And if you know who built it (I don't!) that's worth another one!

Well the only Hillman around in 1951 was the sidevalve Minx (recycled from pre-war) which wasn't the special-builders normal starting point, but since the sv Ford 10 was much used, perhaps the conventional springing of the Hillman was in its favour for once.
Opinionated but sometimes wrong

I came across this view in a 1970s magazine.
The owner at that time was also seeking more information as to name, etc.
