Not high enough for a Bristol, could it be a Lagonda/Aston Martin 2.6?

This looks like a modified Moss Monaco (some of which used six-cylinder engines) but suspect it isn't. Any connection?

That's the problem. It's so difficult for me to find new puzzles that I pounce on subjects which are barely covered by a Google search! I simply don't know enough about the car's origins to confirm or deny.

I DO know how it is described on any caption I found. This involves the year and engine - I assumed it was a special built at that time, but it could be the date of the donor car. I can't confirm any Moss connection.

LOCKED for Paul Jaray. It's an Alvis-powered car - what year and what is unusual about the engine?

I have it as Alvis 3000 compressor. I found his papers too, with chassis number and some more info. I'll add it as soon as possible.

That's the car! I'm surprised nobody guessed at the Alvis connection - it's described as a 1952 car, so presumably the engine is from a TA21, but the supercharger is the strange addition. Every internet entry for this car is simply a photo with the title of the car, but it seems to be owned and driven by an Italian gentleman.

I have a feeling that this is a fairly recent creation, but no proof. The point is yours.

According to the Alvis Owners Club, JYS 899 was originally a TA21 Saloon by Mulliners.

That "build date" of (February)1952 was for the original TA21 saloon.
I presume the supercharger is next to the engine which is why the carburettors are so far to the left.
Opinionated but sometimes wrong
