I doubt this has a connection with Meadows/Frisky at all, but I'm not sure! The only Frisky prototypes that I've ever heard of have already been featured as puzzles here before.

Does she keep her legs outside because she didn't manage to get them inside?

The registration number was issued in Bournemouth, on the south coast of England. Carnut will be able to tell us exactly when.

Correct. I believe it's 1957 or '58

As you say it's a Bournemouth issue and I've searched high and low over the last week for a possible manufacturer of such vehhicles in the Bournemouth/Poole area, without success!

YEL was first issued in early January 1959 and ran until early March 59, when YLJ took over.
So that means the puzzle car must have been registered in the second half of February 1959.

As I said I don't know, but the fairly well appointed interior and trim suggests it's not an invalid carriage. I'm not sure if this is a prototype by a known manufacturer or a one-off privately built car, but I'm confident it's not any production microcar.

I think I have the same source on this one as you.
I don't think a solution was found at the time and it is unclear whether this is a three-wheeler or has four wheels.
A guess would be that this was a prototype for a manufacturer but I have no name for it as yet.

Look at the grin on her face.....holding the door like that

For sure that at the time this picture was taken she already knew that a bunch of carnuts in a next millennium on a website would break their heads on this question.  :D

I've got the name of this little car now, but I'm just trying to dig a little further into the background to see if I can find out a bit more about who made it and what happened to it!

Back later.
