When I first signed up, I set myself a target to reach 20 points and get out of the rookies section, but didn't really think I'd get much further than that. It's taken a year and two days to get to this point, and progress has been by dogged persistence as much as anything else, but I've enjoyed every minute of it, and it's been a great education.
My biggest regret is that I don't have any good material for setting puzzles, like old magazines or obscure books. Whenever I come across something that I think would make a decent puzzle, it has almost inevitably appeared before. Still, now that the expert puzzles are out of bounds, I'll have more time to look around, won't I?
