Correct on both. it is a European built Ford with American parts, and indeed it is a recent pic.

This particular one was built in 1950 and it was a special built to race in Sweden. There were more like this one, and they where built because in the years afther the war it was hard for some racedrivers in Sweden to buy a proper race car.
So they built their own of Ford parts from the USA

Altough I have the two names of the man who built this particular car, it is not the question in this puzzle.

The car has quite a simple name, .......... Special V8
( do not count the dots) also used in combination with the name of the parts supplier.
