That looks like Rixon Bucknell's Jaguar Special which evolved from an SS100 (whence the radiator) until I think it ended up with a rather good XK120 engine.

Further research on this car reveals that the body was the work of Hastings Motor Sheet Metal Works

This car was noted based on an SS100 it was in fact a brand new rolliong XK140 chassis and engine supplied to Rixon Bucknall to which he fitted the older style bodywork he later upgraded the motor to XK150 S specs

In defence of my statement of 3½ years ago I wrote "evolved from" not "based on". I'm sure I remember Rixon telling me he'd re-chassised it at some stage, so perhaps "fitted the older style bodywork" is an understatement!
But I'm not the Jaguar expert that you are, Terry!
