Ever seen these?

What do these three cars have in common?

Is it that they all stem from the same original car, the Glasspar G2?
I know that's not a detailed answer, but if I'm on the right track I can take it from there...

No connection with the Glasspar, sorry.

All these cars are Lancers, made by Eric Irwin in the early 1950's.
This picture is taken from a brochure he produced and show (from left to right) the Series 1, 3 and 2 cars.
He also made a 4th series, not shown here, and there might even be more!
Not a great deal is documented about these cars but certainly at least one still exists!
A series 2 Lancer appeared in the film 'Johnnie Dark'.
Lancers are some of the very earliest production fiberglass cars made.

We had that 4th series car a while ago, though not particularly mentioned...

The one I mean was one of PJ's.

My NEH 551 was a Lancer, but not any of the cars pictured in this puzzle.
A search by me doesn't reveal a Lancer posted by PJ in the Solved section...

Your NEH 551 was the Lancer 1, the same car as the one on the left of my picture. But on yours it had a bumper, on mine it doesn't.
