Is it a Denzel prototype from 1958, based on the BMW 600, designed (though not officially, since he was still working for Vignale) by Michelotti and eventually resulting in the BMW 700?

The Michelotti connection is quite remarkable to know!

It's indeed the Denzel BMW 700 designed by Michelotti.
Willy Martini supported the project and these pics can be found in the book about him.

Recently I received another book about the BMW 700 story. It reports that this was actually the car designed by Wolfgang Denzel himself while Michelotti's attempt made it to production almost unmodified.
