Sorry, that's not what it was called at that precise time, from what I know. "Minivan" is right, though.

Hold it. I found it under another name and read that it had begun with that name, and not Bond.
I can't find that source anymore and I may be making a fool of myself....
I'll check again, but you may have gotten yourself a (very) easy point.

This would have been a "Sharps Commercial LTD" minivan prior to the company's name change to the more familiar BOND.

That's exactly what I meant. I've read somewhere (but can't find it now) that these cars were first sold as "Sharp".
Cmetisse is right about Mk B.
But you will steal the point if you can prove me what you assert. If not, it's his.

Sharps Commercial Ltd changed name to BOND in 1965.
The MK B was a minicar, then in an effort to branch out into the ultra-light commercial market they introduced (1952) versions named the Minitruck and Minivan.
I will PM the site I found this info to you.

Yes, but that's the company's name, and we still don't know what the cars were badged. In your site (not always reliable) I read that the last one was produced in 1966. It's strange that everyone calls them Bond if they were badged as Sharp almost til the end, don't you think?

Surely some expert puzzler knows the whole story.

Bonds were always called Bonds.
I remember one of my neighbours buying a new Bond Minicar in the 1950s when I was only about 8 and thinking "Christ, what a waste of money"!

I agree. According to Bond websites, Bond microcars were always called Bond..

All right. I believe it, but since none of you brings an actual proof here is what I found: a period ad for an early model. Better pictures could be found with a deper search.
My apologies to everyone, and especially to mymokke, for having led him into mistake.
cmetisse gets the point.
