Are these really the same cars?  Grob's photo seems to have a lot of differences: roll bar, no air cleaners, no rear fenders, windshield and so on.  I realize the fenders and air cleaners (and the side-mount spare) would be removed for racing, but the rear bodywork seems to have a different contour as does the cowl and the exhaust seems to be chromed in the lower photo.

Maybe it's just an evolutionary thing:  perhaps it crawled out of the swamp to become Frankenstein as it grew older.   ;D

I saw that, but don't see any date for the other photos...unless I'm just missing something.  Entirely possible.

I found this on the HAMB:

"The car was continually modified over the years and was completely unrecognizable from the original in its final configuration. I have heard that it does and does not still exist, though for some reason I seem to recall actually having seen it at one point. I just searched some photos of mine and couldn't find it.

The final version looked much like an oversized home-built Maserati Tipo 61."
