#5- Nothing to add...
#6- Nothing to add...
#19- European....

Allemano

Is #3 equipped with a British engine?

Paul Jaray

Not British, Italian or French.

Per-fect!

Some clues:
1- french, few cars with strange names
4- f o l l o w   t h e    k a n g o o

(there is another point too, if someone can read between the lines of my previous replies....)

Paul Jaray

Time to solve this.

1- French, active from 1900s til late 30s, the builder was an engineer, an inventor and an innovator rather than a businessman, he choose funny names for his vehicles, that have 2,3 or 4 wheels. He claimed a famous company stole his patents for a very popular car...
4- I'm not asking you to jump around in your room or to buy a ticket for a faraway land...in the same place where I found the Kangoo you can find this one...this is far beyond the clue!
5- If I post the pic of the side of a car, smooth and long like a torpedo, with the hood that slides on rails, Cadillac powered, taken from a Popular Magazine....
6- This one can't be still around! I can name at least 3 of you that are familiar with this car or at least know the place where I took it...and it's not a big site at all! This car was the cover-car of a magazine...I'll leave my last clue, just in case...
19- If you google the name of this car, you'll find dozens of results about John Wayne...(big clue)

(there is another point too, if someone can read between the lines of my previous replies....)

Well, I guess #19 is a Compodanbil Safari, which is now a repost

Paul Jaray

Not a Safari...but the name is not too different from that...

Paul Jaray

Not that...
combine this clue with the 'John Wayne' one...

VW Seco Hatari!

(not a re-post as far as I know)

is #5 a modified version of Rudy Makela's 1942 Cadillac? Then it would be 'barely' a re-post...

Paul Jaray

The hardest ones are gone.
There is another point available...you have only to read my previous replies....
The missing ones are not so hard.

hmm.. are you sure?
I've been studying the pics I have for quite a long time.
The caption below the puzzle's car says: "Specially built custom body. Cadillac chassis. Hood rolls forward on rails to provide access to engine"
I've got a pic of Makela's car taken at the same event in a different year.
The side is the same and only the hood is different. From the windscreen till the rear lights the car is the same. There are only 3 chromed elemets below the puzzle's car door. The numbers on the plate can't be a coincidence...

Here's another view.

Allemano

Yeah, it's more obvious from this angle!
