I've been getting slowly nowhere with this one, but having memorised the common letters that are missing from the anagram, I knew that when I eventually came across it, it would jump off the screen at me, which it just has.

This is it.

It's an ARC Narval, made by ARC Industrie, a French manufacturer of composite materials, ARC standing for Atelier-Recherche-Création.

Unfortunately, to make things even more difficult, there was a spelling mistake in the thread, which gave the second word as "recherce", without the second H.

So bearing that in mind, Avalanche clear - er, notice, terrier? rearranges to:

Atelier-Recherc(h)e-Creation Narval.

Well, thank you. I've been solving cryptic crosswords for decades, and I'm probably better at that than identifying cars. :-[

It's good practice for..... well..... solving crosswords and anagram puzzles. Completely useless for anything else! ;D
