OK, let's change strategy.
Step by Step:
1) Who can name a very famous American movie, with a very famous American actor, with a very famous American car? The name is quite simple and it was later used as a model name...(no long or articulated titles, then)

#11: "the Joe Karasek 1967 Sport car KAR -CAR Mach 1 fitted with a 520 Bhp Chrysler V8 engine .The car was presented to the press in Vienna , Austria , early 1967 and said to have been privately tested by Jochen Rindt ."

Found it by pure chance today.

Giveaway week:

4- Dx Xxxxx DMS x.x  This is one of the very few Mercedes tuner from USA, and the manufacturer raced also in the Trans Am Challenge. This manufacturer is reported in many sources, and it's not so obscure.
19- Sxxxxx This maker replicate the Cobra. The name is there!!
23- Wxxxxx This RAF pilot, built his personal Rolls-Royce at home. Now, if I tell you that google is your friend and that this car can be found in (at least) 2 popular magazines in the 60s and that I chose the words in this clue carefully...
