As the car appears to be in a French-speaking area of Canada, I wonder if the builder originally came from the French region of Limousin?
Limousin is my guess for the moment.

The 1st half is correct.
Remember that it's not a word with a meaning...it reminds me Limousine, but it's (I believe) just a surname.

In my clue I wrote that 'sounds like' and 'reminds me'...like Tourango can sound like Touring...not that close, but something like.
