Maybe an easy expert point - but looks can be deceiving.  :)

 ??? ??? I'm still confused.
The answer is ambiguous.  "The latter" means the second of two choices, but I gave you three, so your reply could mean:
Alternative (a)  It is not a Buchanan,  ie it is Australian, or
Alternative (b)  It is not both, ie it is not Australian and not a Buchanan.

I'm not being pedantic, I am genuinely confused

Not a Gladiator. There is a Buchanan connection, but this is not actually a Buchanan. Its builder shares only a name with a well-known European brand, still active today.

Since I missed it before, I'll let you know this car was not built in Australia, but in New Zealand.

It's Allen Rowley's Morgan-Fiat Special.

I suspected this one would go quickly here.

This car belongs to Gawler car club member Allen Rowley. In recent times it has been called the Morgan-Fiat Special. Built in New Zealand, it has nothing to do with the English Morgan. Nat Buchanan entered into business by the name of Jock Morgan. Buchanan and Morgan had a parting of the ways and Morgan moved to New Zealand, taking a chassis and body with him. It was originally built up in NZ using a side valve Ford E93A engine. The Fiat powerplant came later.
