OK, after a big research, I found something...
It's a 1960 Ferrari 250 SWB, chassis #1965GT, with coachwork by Drogo.
The car was owned by James Coburn, and was under restoration by Hietbrink, and now it's in red...
This is what I know, is it enough?

Yes! James Coburn is the name I was looking for.
Great-looking car and very pleased to see it still exists and hasn't been mutilated into a GTO replica or something!

Here's the unmodified pic:

Note this car is going to be featured in the March 2011 issue of Octane magazine, due on the newstands in about 4 weeks time.

Another picture;

Apparently the new owner is going to re-body the car in its original style with a 250 GT body. Sacrilege.

Must be.
Why not just go out and buy a 250 GT?! OK, I know that's not easy but they do come up occasionally..
