Wow AutoGids, you have cleaned up, with more points in one day than the last month combined!  Good work.

So, in summary;

#1: Estancona (1953): Inspired by - Morris Minor
#2: Hoffman: Inspired by - ISO/BMW Isetta (and successfully sued by BMW), but with a side-opening door
#3: FH Camioneta: Inspired by -Citroen 2CV Fourgonette
#4: KAPI M190: Inspired by - Mercedes-Benz 190 SL
#5: Orix S.F. (1954): Inspired by - VW Type 1 (Beetle, Kafer, Kever, etc.)

All cars Spanish, excluding the German Hoffman, making this (#2) is the odd one out

So, for a final point, we now know that all of these cars were inspired by better-known contemporary vehicles, but what other thing unites them all?

Maybe the link is a two cylinder engine?

Oh and the "Portuguese" car seems to have a Dutch license plate.

Yes, actually I thought at first it was an old Dutch plate (weren't they very dark blue background with white lettering?) but Dutch and Portuguese plates are quite similar (although maybe Portuguese ones were always white with black lettering?) and chose Portugal simply because it was next to Spain and I thought that was a more likely source of the odd one out!

Actually, I think you are right on the Dutch plates. I think Portuguese ones are black, but of course on these B/W pictures you can't see the difference.

Congratulations AutoGids on getting the final point.  The cars are all connected by having two cylinders, although you could have also said they are all from the 1950s, and all microcars, as well as all be pastiches of a 'real' production car.

Hang on, though.

I've found several Spanish web pages, and one Dutch one (on DeAutogids.nl no less) which say that the Estancona Morris Minor lookalike had a three cylinder engine. Bore and stroke both 70 mm, giving 808 cc. I even did the calculation to check!

OK, I will double-check, but I'm sure I read it was a two-cylinder.  Looks like I will need to improve my Spanish!  All the other connections still stand though.

I know. It WAS a 3 cylinder, but he was probably mistaken by the 2-cylinder of the predecessor(DyeSA)
