Studebaker Champion prototype?

You are right up to a point, in that it is indeed a Studebaker Champion, but it's only a mock-up and there is something distinctive about it that sets it apart from other Champions, either prototypes or production cars, which I need before I can award that point.  What is it?

Locked for your reply.

 ???

Relationship between Tremulis and Exner? It seems from this came the design of Tucker.

Nothing to do with the people - it's the car that differs in a particular way.
Have another look and will keep it locked for your reply but only for 24 hours!

Wow, Citroen DS meets Tucker 48 :D
It's not denial, I'm just very selective about the reality I accept.

Rear engine?

Yes! That's what I was looking for!
Maybe it did influence the Tucker?  I don't know..

Built in '43, this mock-up predates the Tucker and the DS. Here's a rear view.

Yes, hard to believe it's from 1943.  They seem to have gone downhill for some time after that...

Am affraid, the America of the forties and fifties would not have bought the car with this styling.

People who would buy a '58 Chevrolet Impala would surely buy anything?!!!

You would be surprised... (I think it was to far ahead for the time to get public appeal, see Chrysler Airflow)

Yes, I agree, I was only joking!
People are notoriously conservative when it comes to actually paying for something avante-garde.
They do like to play safe!
