Quite possibly used exactly the same body moulds.
It's amazing how much sharing, selling and pinching went on in those days...
And still does if you count the Chinese in!

I found a picture of a Devin with exactly the same black edge on the front of the car.

That is true.

I didnt look for any European variants because it didn't look like a European sized plate on the front.

Bill Devin pulled the mold off an Italian Ermini.
But its very possible one of his bodies made it back to Europe.

And another mold was taken off it.

Edit.

The Emblem & placement off it does seem to match...

And the wheelcovers of the puzzle car are those of the Devin, not the MCA Jetstar. So is the round rearview mirror.

They look like '70 AMC hubcaps.
13" Which also seems to check out, the car in the top pic seems to have smaller dia wheels and a wider track ( spacers to fit the 13" ?)

Headlights &rings seemto match Guido's pic as well.

I'm more interested in the mistery than a possible extra point.

Maybe MCA used a Devin pic as well as the bodyshape?

Here is a MCA pic that shows their logo a bit better.

As far as I know the MCA Jetstar was an unlicensed copy of the Devin. Production had to be stopped after 150 Jetstar were built.

Does anyone know what the yellow sports car is ? Photo taken in Holland, a home-built VW base may be ?

Wendax

Maybe a MCA Jetstar or another Devin relative.

Looks very similar, think you found the right one. Thanks ! There was also a coupe prototype, not so pretty though I think

nicanary

Surely that's a Rochdale Olympic shell?
I must be right - that's what it says on Wikipedia

Djetset

The coupe pictured is an MCA Komet, a version of the Rochdale Olympic built under license in Germany.  As for the mystery yellow car, I also think it's an MCA Jetstar.
A car is for life, not just for Christmas.
