It is a DATSUN  FAIRLADY  SP212 or SP213 years 1960-1962.

The SP213 is nearly identical to the SP212, the only major difference being the engine. The SP212 had a 1189cc 48hp 4cyl. E series engine. The SP213 had a new 1189cc 60hp 4cyl. E-1 series engine. The engine is pretty much the same as the E series engine but has gained an extra 12hp thanks to a new 2 barrel Nikki carburettor and a modification to the camshaft. There was also a slight change to the axles and the brakes.

I'll give you the point for that, although the picture was actually of an S211!  But I can't for the life of me see how you can tell the difference in appearance between an S211 and S212, the real differences being that the S211 was made in glassfibre and featured a 988cc engine producing 37 bhp whilst the S212 was steel-bodied and, as you say, had a 48 bhp 1189cc engine.  Only 20 S211s were made in 1959/60 whilst a huge 288 S212s hit the road between 1960/61!

There were another 217 S213s made in 1961/2, which as you say were 212s but with twin carbs and a heady 60 bhp!

Apparently the only difference is that on the S211 the lower front corner of the door is curved, whilst on the S212 and S213 it has a right-angle!
So my picture was definitely an S211 not an S212 and I could have denied you the point until you got it right!!
