Could this be one of the Maverik concepts?

No - as I said in Post #21: Read Post #7 again!

That's right, yes.
But I'm still looking for the name it was known as!

I've seen a couple referred to as Mustella's - though not one that looked like this.

No, it's not a Mustela.
We've already established it's a Mustang of some sort but it has a (rather cumbersome) name and that's what I'm looking for!

Seems no-one knows its full name so it's off to the Black Hole...

Attention all you Ford Ghia concept car puzzle-solvers out there - it's time this one was put out of its misery!

I would if I could! ;)

A variation on the RSX 1979 Concept?

A variation on the RSX 1979 Concept?

No.  It's already been identified as a Ghia Mustang II variant but it had a specific name that it was known by that I'm looking for, although I'm beginning to think my source might not be correct...

I don't think we're going to make any more progress with this one so I think it's time to move it out of The Black Hole.
Allemano gets the point because he correctly described it as a Ford Mustang II Ghia concept from the mid 1970's.
What I was actually looking for was the name it was known by within Ford, and that was "Ford Italian Sports Car Mustang"!
They wanted a car that looked Italian and this is what Ghia came up with!
