Know what it is?

Please, respond below and let us know the make and model designation of the car posted here.

Um....................no.
You wanna be the man, you gotta Name That Car!

That's the White Ttriplex LSR car driven by Ray Keech and which killed Lee Bible
Those are three Liberty engines!

Oh, of course   ;D
How could I not have recognized it? My neighbour even has one of those  :bag:
It's not denial, I'm just very selective about the reality I accept.

Otto Puzzell

My neighbor doesn't own one of the Bluebird LSR cars, or a Spirit of America LSR, but that doesn't preclude me, or another motorsports fan, from recognizing them quite easily.

Oh, it has nothing to do with recognizing the car (or actually the motorized chassis as in case of this picture). My post has been intended as a rather humorous, as well as slightly sarcastic, comment regarding the words of apparent "obviousness" some people tend to include in their answers :P
I'm able of recognizing many strange and obscure cars, as are most of the people here. However, I'm not stating that they're "of course" or "easy" or anything like that.
Guess it's been just another hint for me, that sense of humour is valued much less than prowess in guessing cars. I promise I'll try to develop an appropriate stiff upper lip from now on ;)

Please don't. An "of course" answer by the poster of the puzzle has a quite different meaning than the same in a puzzler's answer, don't you think?

Humour is even more appreciated than prowess in guessing cars by most of us puzzlers. I've been thinking of giving a prize to the funniest reamrk of the week.

I agree with Ray, and as he wrote the "of course" was not my comment!
Actually there's no "of course" about it, as for 40-odd years although I knew about the White Triplex, its layout, its drivers and its achievements, I had not seen a photograph of it.
If you go back to some of the solved puzzles here, you'll find I made a few successful guesses based on what has been written about cars that I have never seen, or seen pictures of.
e.g. this one!

Joao Gois

Just being picky (as usual) but it's name is more like "1928 White Triplex Special 'Spirit of Elkdom' ".

And to me it was too immediately obvious it was that beast. I'm just sorry I didn't notice it going up to the experts or I'd solve it right away...  :P ;)

I find it ironic that the White Triplex was black or some dark colour while its contemporary, the Stutz Blackhawk was white or silver

Just like the singer Willard White  and the dance band leader Stanley Black then?!

Locally, we're treated to radio advertisements for Lew Silver, the Diamond Broker.
