Orchid Special, circa 1960. The Orchid body is said to be the product of the Australasian Motor Works, working to plans drawn by Ferris De Joux, who also penned the De Joux GT.   Built in New Zealand from pre-WWII Ford mechanical components.

All correct.  I only had the mechanicals as "1500cc UK Ford mechanicals" so I'll take your word for it that they were pre-war.
