I think I'd have to give my McIntire point to Aaron65, since he discovered that one from out of nowhere, and I'm pretty sure he had the Honkytonk connection (all I did was state the obvious).  I'm sure he spent way more time finding McIntire than I did finding that he played Grandpa.

I can't say how many times I've gone over and over and around and around on this one.  I've probably seen most of the links and connections tons of times, but they just didn't register...

Brain hurts...

Quite a gentleman, streamliner.
If you red my first post, you guys will see that I had offered only two points for the connection, plus one for each of the cars or vehicles identified. Regarding that part, I propose to do as I said. And give a certain number of points (more than two) for the connection, to be shared between the more active of you all.

Decision at Sundown:
The points for the cars and other vehicles go to Joao (2), Tom_I (1), and streamliner (1). See above for details.
I have added 9 (instead of 2) points for the other links, the only way not to be unfair: Joao and Aaron 65, who each found three of them, get 3 points each. Tom _I, who found two, get 2. Streamliner and Otto Puzzell (I know, he had it easy with Spencer Tracy, but he put this puzzle on its tracks), found one each and get 1 point.
Joao - 5 pts
Aaron 65 and Tom_I - 3 pts
streamliner - 2 pts
Otto Puzzell - 1 pt

As I am quite a nitpicker in some fields I'll just correct Aaron 65 about "High Sierra": John Huston didn't direct the film ( it was RaoulWalsh). But he could have been as valid a link as Burnett, having written both "High Sierra" and "Asphalt Jungle".
But it was Burnett in the picture.
