SIMO III:
Having built two small cars, Olofsson had bigger plans. A real car, which could be mass produced, was his goal. So, this time he started making construction drawings.
The result was SIMO III, finished in 1953. An open 2-seater with a rather challenging design. It looked like a tough one to beat, I think. The car had a frame, and a 350 cm long body of veneer with a soft top. A 2-cylinder 15hp Jawa motorcycle engine gave it a top speed over 100 km/h. SIMO III was equipped with adjustable air suspension. When the road was rough the driver used an air pump with a valve under the dashboard to let some air out, and make the suspension softer. Then it was easy to pump air into the suspension system again.
When Olofssons third car was finished had he no longer plans for serial production. After five years he sold the car.
