NO guess on this one, because I'd be wrong anyway.

BUT ... that front end looks Chrysler to me ... with the back end portion looking like the Cavaliers of the GM world....  Weird.

Looks like an early 80's Cadillac Cimmaron coupe with a LeBaron nose.
It's got the right alloy wheels and lower body cladding for the Caddy.

Hmmm....

Is it a joint venture between Chrysler/GM for a foreign market?  Just guessing, of course ... sorry.

not a GM official product, but a modified GM car marketed under a new name by a company that produced sports cars

yes, it´s a modified Chevrolet Monza. The question is which was the name of this car, as it was sold with a new name by the company that made the modification.

No, no, no ! This is NOT an Opel Ascona. It is a modified Chevrolet Monza, the latin Ascona-clone, brazilian J-car, built by GM Do Brasil !

But we still don't know what is the brand name of this nose job, "a la Le Baron"...

yes, it´s a modified Chevrolet Monza. The question is which was the name of this car, as it was sold with a new name by the company that made the modification, that is not Perua (which is the Brazilian designation for Station Wagon)

"Chevrolet Monza name was used on GM Brazil's J-car, which was based on the Opel Ascona C, but featured initially a three-door hatchback (which resembled the larger Opel Monza) which was unique to Brazil"
