This is a half-scale MB 300SL built in Vietnam by the Harrington Group.
It is considered a "Childrens Car" by the builder and they also make similar versions of Porsche 356, Jaguar E-Type, Willys Jeep and Bugatti T35.
following info from their website on the car:
This is an accurate half scale of the legendary timeless classic. It features a composite chassis and composite body shell. It can be driven by anybody from the age of 6 and up!
Adults of average height can drive them.
We produce 2 different variants, both petrol and electric versions.
The petrol cars have a rear mounted 110cc 4 stroke quad bike engine. The gearbox is a semi automatic (clutch-less gearchange). The cars have 3 forward gears and reverse, by a left mounted gear-change. The cars have twin rear hydraulic disk brakes. They come as standard with working lights, indicators (flashers), horn, and electric start. They are fast, with a maximum speed of an exhilarating 43mph (69kmh). However speed can be limited by only allowing the use of 1 forward gear. The petrol cars do not have suspension; they are basically a very pretty (and heavy) go kart. The seat is adjustable, the pedals fixed.
The electric cars are the slower option; the cars use 2 x electric motorbike 36v brushless hub motors in the rear wheels. The top speed is 14mph.The cars drive in both forward and reverse and have rear drum brakes operated by foot pedal. The cars have working lights, horn and indicators. With these models, the electric versions have full independent suspension. Drive time per battery charge is approx 1hr 40 minutes. Recharge in 1 hour.
Was that detailed enough or would you like to also know the name of the driver?
